Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Friday said the next general election would not wait for anybody.The minister made the remarks while replying to query at the press conference held at the Awami League President Sheikh Hasina's political office at Dhanmondi in the capital.
"The constitution and election will not wait for anybody ...the last general election could not be postponed for anybody and the next general election would also not be halted for anybody."
Expressing hope that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will participate at the next general election, the ruling party leader said the BNP won't take risk of cancellation of its registration at the Election Commission by not participating in the election.
The Mohila Awami League organized the press conference marking the 5th national conference of the Mohila Awami League to be held at Krishibid Institution auditorium at Khamarbari tomorrow. Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to join the conference as the chief guest.
